Scope of Work
Replacement of (1) Daikin Custom Chillwater Air Handling Unit, including new shut-off valves, new chillwater piping, and new BMS controls, in a mechanical room too small to accommodate the new unit fully assembled.
Project Highlights and Results
The North Building of Broward County's Central Courthouse Judicial Complex houses the county jail facility and active courtrooms. A custom chillwater air handling unit needed to be replaced without disrupting court operations or jail functions. The building runs daily court proceedings and houses an active jail, so all work had to be performed after hours. The mechanical room was too small to accommodate the new unit fully assembled, and the fire sprinkler system had to remain functional throughout the install. We performed the entire scope after hours. The new Daikin Custom AHU was completely dismantled and rebuilt inside the mechanical room to accommodate the fire sprinkler system. We also installed new shut-off valves, new chillwater piping, and new BMS controls. The project was completed on-time with zero impact to tenants or daily court operations.
