Project Highlights and Results

The Jan Moran Collier City Learning Library needed four rooftop units replaced. The library serves the community daily, so the work had to be staged in a way that limited climate impact inside the building. Replacing four RTUs at once would have meant a major climate control hit during the install. Phasing the work allowed the building to keep functioning, but it required careful coordination so each new unit could be tied back into the existing BMS. We removed and replaced four existing RTUs with new equipment in stages to limit the effect on the building's interior climate. The existing BMS was modified and installed into the new equipment to give the County full control of the new system. The project was completed months ahead of schedule and within budget, with no change orders.
