Project Highlights and Results
North Broward Detention Center is a Broward Sheriff's Office prison facility. The project replaces two Trane 150-160 ton air-cooled chillers along with their pumps, frequency drives, and BMS interface. Secure-facility work like this requires advanced logistics and vetted personnel. A working prison cannot accommodate civilian-style construction logistics. Personnel must be vetted, materials must be tracked, and the BMS upgrade had to maintain communication with an older legacy BMS so the facility never lost central control. We are replacing two Trane 150-160 ton air-cooled chillers with their related pumps and frequency drives, and we are installing updated Trane Tracer BMS hardware and wiring engineered to maintain communication with the existing system. Completion is expected July 2026.
