Scope of Work
Replacement of (1) 80-ton quad-compressor Condensing Unit and (1) 100-ton AHU dual coil sections and blower motor, with a temporary packaged unit ducted into existing ductwork throughout the install.
Project Highlights and Results
The Stirling Road Branch Library serves the public daily. The 80-ton quad-compressor condensing unit and the dual coil sections plus blower motor for the corresponding 100-ton air handler all needed to be replaced, and the library could not lose climate control while the work was happening. Public library buildings cannot close for HVAC work, so we set a temporary packaged unit and ducted it into the existing ductwork through the mechanical room louvers to carry the load during the swap. We removed and replaced the existing quad-compressor 80-ton condensing unit along with the dual coil sections and blower motor for the 100-ton air handler. Climate control was maintained throughout the project, completed months ahead of schedule and within budget, with no change orders.
